The Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification in Illinois is also known as the Certified Food Service Manager in the City of Chicago. Both of these credentials require an approved seven hour course. In Indiana, only the proctored exam is required for the Certified Food Handlers License. Wisconsin identifies the same credential as Food Manager Certification, and doesn’t require a course be completed as well. Most public health departments require the person-in-charge (PIC) to be onsite at a food operation, with this certification.
