Need a proctored food protection manager exam in the Chicago area? Many proctoring locations are shut down in response to the coronavirus-19 pandemic. However our location in Roselle at 490 West Lake Street, Suite #2 has the ability for socially distanced testing in two private cubicles that can be proctored at the same time.

Complete this food licensing test (after an approved 8 hour course) and get the Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certification for Illinois or the City of Chicago. A Certified Food Protection Manager must be on-site when food is prepared or served. Our CFPM testing program qualifies the Person-In-Charge for this responsibility. Although called by different names, most state public health departments require successful testing for the person-in-charge of a food operation. In Indiana, for example, this exam provides a Certified Food Handlers License. In Wisconsin, the same exam identifies as Food Manager Certification.

Choose either the ServSafe or National Registry (NR FSP) national licensing exam. Both tests comply with the ANSI Conference for Food Protection (CFP) requirements for the person-in-charge. Most local & state licensing boards for food safety licensing accept these exams.

Certified Food Safety Programs offers the proctored exam as part of the one day course. View this option at the course page Completing an approved on-line course may be more convenient for you. If you cannot take the proctored exam on a day with a public course, a private testing session can be scheduled on Tuesdays in Chicago’s Lincoln Park area, on Wednesdays in Niles, or on Thursdays in the Oak Park area.

Please email us at with your general location and proposed test dates before registering for this option.
