Take the Certified Food Protection Manager’s class in person
Add in the class if you have already registered for an proctored exam.
Attending the class in person is usually more helpful than taking it on-line.
The date and location is the same as the proctored exam, although the start time is earlier. Your confirmation will have all of the details and a pre-course study guide.

The food code in Illinois mandates both an approved course and a proctored licensing exam. The course must be completed before exam can be given. And, travel to a testing site is always needed for proctored supervision of the exam.
Many find that taking the course on-line leaves them distracted and unprepared for the test. Register for this class, to add the course before attending the proctored exam. Once you have attended a Certified Food Safety Programs course, you can audit the course as needed for a full year – until you are successful in the exam.
